Mission Statement: THE GOVERNORS’ AIMS FOR AMY JOHNSON PRIMARY SCHOOL CURRICULUM
We
aim to ensure that all our pupils receive a varied, challenging and appropriate
curriculum which enhances the National Curriculum and enriches each pupil’s
learning experiences. We are constantly
encouraging the pupils to reach their highest personal, social and academic
achievements. PUPILS
We acknowledge that our school plays a
significant part in giving the pupils opportunities to feel good about
themselves whilst developing their self esteem. We aim to develop independent learners who are enthusiastic and
motivated about their work and are happy to celebrate their successes. Our school offers a range of opportunities
which allow the pupils to develop a sense of responsibility and respect for
themselves and others. STAFF
We
value the commitment and hard work of our staff. We expect them to work as a team, valuing and supporting each
other for the benefit of the whole school.
We aim to provide a supportive environment to further their professional
development. PARENTS
We
wish to foster a home/school partnership where parents feel welcome and their
views are listened to. We expect that
you, as parents, will work with the school to achieve our stated aims for your
children. This involves you attending
teacher/parent consultations, supporting your child with their homework and
encouraging your child to participate in extra-curricular activities. We expect you to ensure that your child
attends school regularly and on time, informing the school if your child is
unable to attend. COMMUNITY
We
are proud to call ourselves Roundshaw’s community school. We reflect the diversity of the community
and the changes within it. We encourage
our pupils to have a sense of pride in their community and to be involved in
local initiatives. We are looking to
maintain and develop support from the community. ENVIRONMENT
We
aim to provide an environment that is welcoming, stimulating, supportive and
safe for everyone. We are pleased to be
part of the Healthy Schools Scheme. |
