The lollypop lady

It was half past three. The lollypop lady came out of her little house through her small garden and onto the pavement. She sat on her own stony wall in front of her garden which had about three bushes of red and white flowers in it, including roses. Her name was Agitha. She was quite an old jolly lady with grey hair and a little blue coat. She waited till she heard the school bell ring and stood up. Children poured out of the front door and queued up to cross the road. The lollypop lady stood in the middle of the road. Some children waved to her. She waved back. Everyone thought she was a jolly old lady. But know one knew she had a deep dark secret …

The Golden Nail Soup

One day when Sam and Henry were going to look at their new school they had a plan in mind. " Off you go boys", Mum suddenly gasped. The boys didn't go into the school playground they went to the school kitchen. " Can we help" said Sam and Henry in a sweet voice, " If you can cook well" replied the dinner lady. " What are you making there?" said the boys. " Soup" said the dinner lady. " We make nice soup" said the boys, "especially nail soup".

" We will be needing water, potatoes, chicken, tomatoes, swede, salt and pepper". The dinner lady ran and almost tripped and then came back with the water, potatoes, chicken, tomatoes, swede, salt and pepper. She plopped them in the bowl and stirred and stirred and stirred. The boys took a mouthful of the soup. " Is it ready yet ? " , "No " said the boys. " I'm just going to add my golden nail to sweeten it up". " Is it ready now?", "no" said the boys, "just a few more minutes" said the boys. The clock had been five minutes and lunch time had started. " Is it ready now? " said the dinner lady, " yes" said the boys, with a grin on their faces. The children were served their soup, everyone had sat down, they took one sip and spat it out. " This is disgusting" they shouted.

Sam and Henry immediately ran out with their arms in the air, " ahhhhhhhh" they shouted. Mum was not happy at all. They were running out singing. "Whoops", mum came along, " We're in trouble !"
