Welcome to the Eco Team Webpages

Our Eco Team was formed in 2005 to build on the achievements of the school's existing Allotment Club and to broaden the scope of our environmental work. We have representatives on the team from every class in the school and each has responsibility for a different Eco project. In November 2005, one of our year 6 girls (Leanne Marlow) decided to write to HRH Prince Charles asking for his advice with organic planting and pest control methods. He was so impressed with her letter that we were invited to visit Highgrove to see a working organic garden.

Quote from pupil I have been in the allotment club and eco team for two years. My first job was to breed ladybirds to eat aphids on our apple trees. I then joined the Eco Team where I am in charge of the shoes and textile recycling. I'm enjoying this very much. from Hennock Year 5
