Since September 2005 school inspections have used a four point scale to record judgments about performance with ‘outstanding’ being the highest grade. Schools are included on the basis of the judgements about their overall effectiveness, pupils' achievements, the quality of teaching, the effectiveness of leadership and management and the extent of improvement since their previous inspection. In addition these schools have no significant weaknesses. The Investors in People Standard provides a framework that helps organisations to improve performance and realise objectives through the effective management and development of their people
SAAS
The National Healthy Schools Programme is an exciting long term initiative that helps young people and their schools to be healthy. The scheme was originally developed to celebrate the achievements of schools that have either made significant improvement or are high performing.
