GOVERNORS FUND

We ask parents to contribute to this fund each September. We use this fund primarily to enhance the building improvement programme and to provide additional facilities and amenities for the children. The current suggestion is for a minimum contribution of £50 per family. Parents are of course asked to donate more if they feel they can do so. If at all possible, parents are also encouraged to complete a Gift Aid Form so that the school can claim tax on the contribution.

VISITS

We carefully plan all visits to support the curriculum and ethos of the school. Parents are asked to make a voluntary contribution towards the cost of travel and entrance fees on day visits. No child is prevented from attending, or is otherwise penalised, if his/her parents do not pay. However, our ability to provide a programme of day visits clearly depends on the level of contributions received. Pupils will usually participate in at least one-day visit each academic year.

In KS1 the children are taught to swim. There is a voluntary parental contribution requested to cover the cost of the transport to the swimming baths. The school cover the cost of the hire of the pool and the swimming teacher out of the school budget.

FREE SCHOOL MEALS AND MILK

Entitlement to these depends upon the receipt of certain government benefits. Further information is available from the Finance Office.
