St Elphege's was opened in 1969 and celebrated it's 40th anniversary with many events in September 2009. This is what it looked like all those years ago. You can still see evidence of Croydon airport. The school was built on the airport lands and the history of the area forms ' real experience ' learning for our children.

The school was opened by the Bishop.
